PATTY & BUN

I can't stop going out for burgers.  I don't know whats wrong with me.  I've never really been super into burgers, I usually prefer chicken but something has come over me of late and I've turned into a burger eating monster.  Nothing seems to make me happier at the moment then discovering new great burger joints in town with friends who can appreciate them as much, if not more, than me.  Last week's adventure was to Patty & Bun on James street. Well, I almost don't know where to begin.  The delicious juicy burger, the wonderful salty fries or the best, yes, the BEST chicken wings I have ever eaten in my life... and I've tried out a LOT of  chicken wings.  I went for the Smokey Robinson burger: Beef patty, cheese, tomato, lettuce, caramelised onions, bacon, ketchup and smokey mayo all in a sweet brioche bun.  The beef was full of flavour, the caramelised onions gave the perfect amount of sweetness and the smokey mayo did things to me that I can't write on here.  Khat opted for the Ari Gold burger which is brilliantly named for all you entourage fans and has the same contents as mine minus the bacon and onions.  Now the wings, oh the wings.  I'd heard rumours about these chicken wings, that they were the best on the block and I thought to myself, 'just how good can chicken wings be?'  THIS GOOD.  The dark sticky sauce is sweet but the smokiness is on another level.  The incredibly tender meat falls away from the bone as soon as it touches your lips which you will not be able to stop licking.  Even if you don't like burgers, or even fries, promise me you'll go to Patty & Bun just to try these chicken wings... promise!  Now get ready for some serious food porn.

A queue this long at 6:00pm on a weeknight has to be good right?

The burgers come wrapped in wax paper sealed with handy stickers naming your burger.
