Monthly Sunday brunch with the girls was fast approaching and as we no longer all live within 5 minutes of each other (school friends which meant we all used to live a stones throw away) it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a location which caters to each of us.  We decided on The Riding House Cafe in the West End.  A modern all-day brasserie (they call themselves) serving meals from breakfast to dinner and everything in between.  A few of my friends don't like early starts (Emma, I'm calling you out on this one) but luckily for us brunch is served until 4pm on a Sunday.  We met, we chatted... a lot, we ate and drank and had a lovely afternoon.  The waiters are smart and polite and the decor is a version of posh shabby chic which makes an upmarket establishment feel surprisingly cosy.  Having heard mixed reviews of The Riding House Cafe I had cause for reservation, however I left there with an (overly) full belly and a smile on my face which are both good things in my books!
