The Antipodium show, Interiors, was held in The Portico Rooms of Somerset House.  The collection was subtle and completely wearable, I could imagine myself in every single piece!  There were plenty of coats which were all extremely over sized and androgynous alongside an ultra chic and feminine baby pink peplum dress.  Relaxed dresses walked alongside beautiful coloured prints which upon closer inspection were revealed as a variety of different dogs printed together!  Fabrics included leather, chiffon and lace combining hard edgy materials alongside dreamy romantic types.  The models casted for this show had an age range between 20 and 60, both male and female.  This was certainly not what I had been expecting however each model was able to carry off the garments they were wearing perfectly.  I want the dog print dress!

The Ashley Isham show was held in Il Bottaccio in Grovsenor Place, a beautiful location for beautiful dresses! Isham's signature draping was ever present in stunning floor length gowns teamed with teased, backcombed hair fit for any goddess. There were rich colour tones combined with intricate detail such as embellishment and laser-cut leather which showcased Isham's talent for attention to detail. Backstage, make-up artist Jo Frost used Illamasqua products to create a soft dreamy look married with baroque edginess. The models had baroque style 'tattoos' stenciled onto their foreheads which instantly hardened the overall romantic make-up style. For the final walk, six 'brides' lined up in short white dresses, each with a different hint of colour. As they began their final strut down the runway, an explosion of gold foil glitter rained down from above adding the most perfect theatrical element to an elegant yet modern show.

The most important week in the Fashion calendar is upon us. The cobbles around Somerset House are about to start clacking with the sound of high heels for six days straight. It's time to spot new trends on and off of the runway from the most fashionable people in the industry. Until Friday, here are a few of my favourite images from some of the shows I attended last year. To see these in more detail click 'February' in the blog archive list.
