PARIS COUTURE WEEK

Chanel Valentino Givenchy Elie Saab Alexis Mabille Chanel

Whilst us Brits eagerly await the 18th of February (for anyone who is on another planet that is the start of London Fashion Week) across the channel the fashion elite have already descended and have been attending the most exclusive and glamorous Haute Couture shows. The common thread among all of the designers this year was elegance and romance. Billowy dresses in dusty pinks floated down the runway on models who had the aura of angels. Couture dresses have the power to make anyone fall under fashion's spell and this years show was truly magical.

MCQUEEN AND MOHAIR

I wear: Ankle boots: Office, Leggings, Vest and Jacket: Topshop, Sunglasses: Vintage, Scarf: Alexander McQueen.
I have an upcoming trip to Paris on the cards so what better excuse to give one's wardrobe a slight overhaul? Not to mention every fashionistas favourite time of the year... FASHION WEEK! This means it's all systems go on the fashion front. People are scouring the end of the sales for any last minute bargains they can get their fashion hungry little fingers on, myself included! The boy did good at Christmas and surprised me with an Alexander McQueen skull scarf, showing me he actually listens when I babble on about all things fashion. The scarf is sand coloured sheer silk-chiffon, unbelievably soft to touch with the iconic skull print in red which adds a healthy pop of colour to my otherwise muted wardrobe palette. Whilst 'browsing' in Topshop this week I found this good enough to eat oatmeal oversized mohair boyfriend jacket. I thought it was about time I jumped on the mohair bandwagon and this jacket gave me the perfect excuse. I've put the two together and have come up with what I believe is a Paris / Fashion Week match made in heaven!

LEOPARD LEOTARD

This post does exactly what is says on the tin, and by that I mean it's ALL about the leopard leotard. Bagged at the Topshop sale, the combination of leopard print and leotard makes me feel oh so eighties when I wear it. The leotard is skin tight but the pattern makes it super flattering. I've teamed it here with some high-waisted cut off Levis and tights that are as black as the night,It's still slightly cold for bare legs in my opinion! This was a great bargain in the sale and for me, leopard print will never go out of fashion. There's not much else to say about this piece except that it is AWESOME.
