PORTOBELLO PLEASURE

My purchase of round frame oversized sunglassses (a la Lennon) with unique arm detail.

One of the many gems from Hirst Antiques. Classically understated vintage Chanel earrings.

My jewellery purchases from Belle Du Jour. Lots of gold, semi-precious stones and enamel.

Statement Brooches

Miss Green wears: Ray ban's, maxi skirt - Primark,
Statement panther necklace - Soho Boutique, Boho bag - Aldo.

My friend Miss Green and I decided a trip to Portobello Road was in order today. There's nothing more satisfying than browsing market stalls and rummaging through racks of vintage clothing on a gorgeous sunny day. Even if your not intent on buying, the atmosphere created by the friendly and sometimes over the top (that looks AMAZING on you, you MUST buy it!) market traders makes Portobello a great place to gather inspiration. Aside from the market, the actual stores on Portobello Road have some beautiful pieces. From pure silk tye - dye harem pants (they did'nt have a clasp so Miss Green couldnt buy them) to vintage gold oversized Chanel earrings. Hirst Antiques in particular has some of the most stunning vintage jewellery. Walking into the shop feels as though you've just entered Aladdin's Cave and it most certainly is full of treasure. Playing host to exquisite vintage pieces from YSL, Dior, Butler and Wilson, Chanel, Kenneth Jay Lane and many more, Hirst Antiques is one not to be missed.
